I often see many girls online trying to start a modelling career to make some extra cash to pay the bills or to pay for their education. Some of them have great success, making more money than a full time job, some others fail miserably, not even reaching 100 followers before getting banned everywhere. With this first blog post I hope to sum up in a few easy steps what I’ve learnt over the years also from other girls in the business and explain what to do when getting started.

Preliminary choices.

Before even getting started, there are some important choices to make. First of all, what’s your goal? Well, making money is your goal, sure, but it has to be clear from the get go what are you willing to do to get it. Choices are endless here: selling pics and videos, selling private shows on Skype, hosting public shows on webcam sites, but also pole/lap dancing in clubs and even escorting services. This first post will be only dedicated to online jobs, so cam modelling, selling pics and videos, Skype and OnlyFans mainly.

Second question: do you want to show your face in the content you are going to publish? Well, this is a personal choice, remember that your face can be one of the selling points that will make your content popular, on the other hand you might also want to remember that once you post something on the internet, there is a chance it will stay around for a very long time, whether you want it or not. So really up to you. From now on I will assume you chose to show your face.

Another choice is about what kind of character you want to play: do you want to be the girl next door? Maybe a sexy schoolgirl? A gamer girl? A mistress looking for sex slaves? A feet model? Choices are endless, really, and it’s again up to you to chose, but don’t worry: you can switch between those when you get more experienced and based on your follower base.

We defined what you are, but we didn’t say anything about who you are. To create accounts and get people to talk about you you need a name. It would be better if your name isn’t something too obvious like “bunny29”, “sexygirl119” and similar stuff. We want something that’s easy to remember and easy to google. I, for example, chose “HimerosModelling”, perhaps not the easiest to remember, but at least if you google you can find some of my accounts. Pick something original for yourself and google it before making it final. It’s better if you don’t find anything before you make your accounts.

Things you need.

After you made up your mind about what you want to do, it’s time to see if you’re armed and ready to face whatever is ahead. Some think that posting a butt picture on Instagram and posting their Paypal link is enough, but no, not really: you need some hardware and you need to setup some accounts to get up and running.

For the hardware, a phone is really all you need to get started if you are on a low budget, but some extra stuff can add some serious value to the content you are able to provide:

  • Laptop. If you plan on doing webcam shows a laptop or computer is easier than a phone and if you consider the fact that for little money you can add a high quality external webcam, I would say this is a no brainer.
  • Webcam. As we just said, if you have a really high quality camera your clients will more happily spend money on your shows. Consider spending some money on a good one if you do a lot of cam shows.
  • Digital camera. Why would we want to buy a camera if we can take pictures just fine with our phone? Well, one thing is taking a low resolution selfie with the phone, a totally different thing is to take a 4k video of us dealing with a toy! Also there is a huge difference in quality of pictures taken with a phone or camera with the same resolution. Consider spending 100 to 200 on a really really good one once your money starts coming your way.
  • Toys. I suggest having at least one to get started with, more of them will come from your clients or from companies advertising their products. Some people really like seeing girls playing with toys.
  • Outfits. Men really want to see you naked, sure, but in order for them to go crazy about you, you might want to wear some sexy clothes for that see/no see teasing effect. So make sure you have some tight leggings, thongs, lingerie in your closet. Also some particular clothes and toys might be part of the character you chose, remember?

Accounts on website and services, on the other hand, are mostly free and you want to be active in all of them, but of course there are so so many that it might be difficult to pick and use them properly. I would say there are 2 categories: follower farming and money farming. In the first category you want to get as many followers as possible and here you will post a linktree or similar (more on this later), without mentioning you are a cam girl or you sell stuff (it might even be forbidden there!). The second category websites are basically your digital store where people can buy your stuff or see the list of services you offer.

Follower farms:

  • Instagram. It’s really notorious and many girls use this for everything… up until they get banned and they lose 5k, 10k followers and all the work they have done. Make sure you use Instagram for what is made: posting pictures. So NO nudes, NO mentioning that you’re a cam girl, NO begging for money. Also consider opening a Facebook page to get the benefits of the business account. If you have the chance, send pictures to pages who post / shout other people (if they don’t ask for money), it can be a nice boost for your profile.
  • Periscope. It works really well to get a huge follower base in little to no time. Here you can do lives, but make sure you keep it safe, so you can wiggle your boobs and butt as much as you want, but make sure they stay inside your clothes. Also please don’t beg for money or followers, that’s just a turn off. Try to dance, show some stuff and have fun, money will come with time.
  • YouTube. Same as the previous 2. It’s really useful to post a few sexy videos (especially if you’re good at dancing) and get viewers and followers. Who knows, maybe if you get hundreds of thousands of them you might even become a professional.
  • PornHub and similar. Here you can post a few freebies, don’t be afraid to post them, even across different websites: you want to be known. Also, I know, we are here to make money, but nobody will just throw money at you just because. Don’t be afraid of giving a few boners around and don’t be afraid of people “finishing” watching your free videos. If they have a good time with your content they will come back and that’s what we want. A good example is brought you by Lolita Lush.

Money farms:

  • OnlyFans, Patreon, ManyVids and so on. They are getting a lot of momentum these days and I often see them misused. Some girls post a few pictures on Instagram and then drop their link begging for subscribers. It won’t work like this. Why would a guy subscribe to a random girl when he can just go on PornHub and get it over with? So, yes make an account and post stuff from time to time, but don’t just hope it to work on its own or just because you beg for it.
  • Chaturbate, Cam4 and similar. If you want to cam model this is the way to go. They are platforms where you can do live shows and get paid directly from clients who want to see you doing stuff. I see the most successful people in here are those who have fun while doing it. People want to be part of your sexual life, so find a way to interact with them. Don’t just sit in front of the cam and wait for money to flow: dance, shake your butt, chat with the viewers, joke with them and make them part of your experience as a person. And guess what? I hope you understood by now, begging is bad. By the way, here there is my referral for Chaturbate if you want to register using it.
  • Direct sale. You don’t necessarily need a third party website or service to sell your stuff, you can sell it on your own. Direct sale is the best way to get money because you don’t have to pay for the website fee. But in order to do that, you need your clients to trust you. You don’t expect them to just send money to your PayPal in the hope that you will send them what they want, do you? Just like you wouldn’t send anything unless they pay first. So this is something you definitely want to accomplish, but be smart about it, try to avoid scams and time wasters and build trust with your followers, make sure they know that if they pay you, their desires will be satisfied.

We mentioned linktree and PayPal, so to be complete let’s explain the miscellaneous category a bit better:

  • LinkTree / AllMyLinks. Use this to provide your followers a list of all your links, profiles, websites and accounts. Redirect them here without specifying what’s in it. Just say stuff like “for more visit this link”. Here there is my AllMyLinks if you’re interested.
  • Paypal, CashApp, Coinbase. Get an account in all of them, you don’t want a client running away because you don’t use the payment method he wants to use. As usual, be smart here and don’t fall into scams.
  • Mega or similar. You surely want a place where to save all the content you create so that you won’t lose it and have it handy in case you need it. Mega is encrypted so it’s a good option where to save your stuff. But don’t use it to share link to content! Your account might end up getting banned if you share stuff that violates Mega’s terms and conditions.

Before our first post.

At this point everything is ready and you can start choosing a sexy profile pic and your first post! Before leaving you to explore this world there are some other quick tips. First of all put a watermark on your content. It’s so so common to see people who steal pictures and repost them around on Instagram or elsewhere on the internet without consent. A watermark has to contain at least your username (see why our username has to be easy to google?) and, if you want, a logo. Don’t chose something too big or that covers too much, it has to be barely visible, but at the same time it shouldn’t be too easy for thieves to remove it or cut it out. And last but not least, make sure to post a verification picture or video to your social profiles: put a video where you say the name of your page, or where it’s written on some piece of paper. Prove you are real and people will be more likely to follow you.

That’s all for this post! I leave you with an awesome Instagram snap by Lolita Lush:
